The Video Editor Wont Load? The other stuff does!

Post by UltimateLife »

Hey, just trying out MSP8 again, but I've encounterd a problem. The Audio Editor and Video Capture programs in the package work fine, but the Video Editor doesnt load. Theres some indication of loading, but the program just wont load. I've tried re-installs, repair installs, and even tried it on another hard-drive in my pc.

I know this program works on my pc, its more than capable, and has done before. I cant help but think it may have something to do with either codecs or that I have disabled some windows services that this program needs to run. Any ideas as to what has caused this problem, and how to fix it?

Thanks

Is it a time-limited trial version? If so, it may simply have expired.

Still Having Issues

Hi All,

I'm still having trouble with the trial version. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times.

veditor.exe loads for a sec in processes then quits.

Anyone have suggestions?

Try this, it's for Video Studio 9 but seems to work for other Ulead productis that won't start, substutite Video Studio with Media Studio.

I keep clicking the VideoStudio 9 icon but VideoStudio 9 won't launch. What do I do?

* This is due to Data Execution Prevention for WinXP with Service Pack 2. Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Data Execution Prevention . Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select then click Add . Locate vstudio.exe in the VideoStudio folder in Program files and select Open . Click Apply then restart your computer.

I used it for about 5 days and then it just stopped working.

I did get a response back from their sales department

Hi,

First we regret the inconvenience. It should have lasted than 5 days and make you ahve a longer grasp of the said programs. We are actually still studying what went wrong, there has been about 10 or so cases with the same issue this week.

However, we came up with some remedies for those who really wish to try our products to the extent of evaluating them properly:
1. Install the trial program in another computer.
2. Download another copy of the trial version using another email account.
3. Download the trial onto a disk using another computer that has internet connection, then install it on your computer.

Thank you for your interest, and good luck.

Sincerely,

Ulead Customer Service
