Need help burning a DVD with Movie Factory 3.

Post by tinkfan »

Hi. I have successfully captured video, edited it, made chapters etc. My video is 2.5 GB and I have enough work space on my hard drive. I click "output" to burn the disk and everything seems to be going fine. Then after a long time, I get a message that "there is a problem with the source file." And then another message, "could not open file." I have tried three times with the same result. Any ideas what this "problem" could be?

More than likely your capture file has some corruption, the source mpeg files need to be high quality clean mpeg2 captures, all mpeg capture is not equal. Playing ok is not the final criteria for quality, it may play fine and still not copy or burn out to DVD.
Hope this helps.
