Installation of VS 9 Trial

Hi,
I am a newbie to Video Editing.

I did lay my hands on VS 7 SE for few days and got interested into the world of Video Editing. After I edited the video of my last trip with my family, I was fascinated to watch my edited video with bit of transition and background music.

Now I wish to try out the Trial Version of VS 9.

During installating there is a step when we are required to choose between the Country or PAL/NTSC. Could someone tell me which one is more appropriate to choose.

I live in New Zealand and we use PAL.

My system Config:
OS - Win XP
CPU - PIV
Mem - 1 GB
HDD - 40 GB

Hi VideoLab, and welcome to the forums..

You would set it to PAL, and what several members will do, is also set the country. It is kind of a reduntant safeguard I guess.

I do it the other way round. I first select my country (Australia), and then I select PAL. You will notice that the country selection is greyed out, but Australia remains highlighted. I then proceed with the install.
