Getting Results with VideoStudio 10

Post by sjj1805 »

Sad news. A forum member sent me a private email asking if there were any books available in relation to VideoStudio 10 and I immediately thought of Charlie Hills.

Alas I went to Charlie Hills Website only to find the following:
Now that VideoStudio 10 is out, the inquiries about Getting Results with VideoStudio 10 have begun. Unfortunately, I regret to announce there will not be a VS10 book.

The good news is, for anyone still using VideoStudio 9, I've dropped the prices. Time to clear inventory!

It's been quite a ride, but when VideoStudio 10 came out on the heels of MediaStudio Pro 8, I just had to get off the treadmill for a while. I released three editions of the VideoStudio book in about 15 months. I just can't keep it up, plain and simple!
Charlie.... on behalf of all of the forum members I would like to thank you for the hard work you have already put in creating your previous books. Writing tutorials for this forum myself I realise the amount of time that you have put into development.

I think I speak for all when I say that hopefully after you have had a well earned break you will feel re-energised and find the temptation to write another book to great.

Once again on behalf of the forum, Charlie - Thank you.

I agree with you Steve, I have Charlie's "Getting Results with Mediastudio Pro 8", and it is underpriced.

Anyone new to Videostudio should not be discouraged by the fact that Charlie's book only covers VideoStudio 9 -- there are many features that are the same, and the concept and workflow apply to both products, so the Videostudio 9 book would still be worthwhile and an excellent complement to the Ulead documentation.

I ditto both Steve and Torsten. I've used VideoStudio since version 6 and bought Charlie's v9 book. It is well written and easy to use/understand. I learned many new things.

Thanks Charlie!
