Slide Shows?
I have a 700 slide presentation with music at 2 sec each. Is it possible to increase them all to 3 sec? I would add more music.

Your method works for each image individually, but not for all of them at one time. A clip is just one image.

Click File > Preferences > Edit. The first of the little check boxes sets the default time for display of inserted images (and color panels). But I think it only works from before your initial creation of the slideshow, rather than allowing it to change for one that is already made. But I wouldn't swear to that -- try it and see. Otherwise your alternatives would seem to be either changing each of your 700 photos individually, or else setting the new display time and then re-creating the slideshow in its entirety.

re:Slide Shows?
Okay I found it. Highlight all the images you want to change the duration and go to clip menu (top right) select "change image/colour duration". Of course you now have to reline titles & music.

Nice discovery!! I never knew that we could do this. It is especially nice because it looks as if we can set the timing to fractions of a second.
This is ideal for syncronizing the slide change to happen with the beat of the music.
Now, if only we could figure out how to restore the Video/Audio sync capability...
