When using the Pan/Zoom video filter, I get inconsistant behavior.
When setting the position and zoom for the beginning and ending frames, at a point the square box defining the position & zoom will change to a rectangular box, after adjusting the handles. When this happens it's almost impossible to get it back to a square.
Is this normal behavior or a bug?
Has anyone else observed this behavior?
Thanks
Dennis
MSP 8.1 Pan Zoom Video Filter Behavior
Don't undestand! Can you please explain in more detail? I always understood that the box always has the same aspect ratio as the project (4:3 or 16:9). I didn't think that this was adjustable or square. I admit that I've not used the filter frequently (mostly when I wanted a curved path with many keyframes), so I may be wrong.

Devil,
Thanks for responding. Your question encouraged me to take another look at the issue.
You are right the initial bounding box is based on my project setting of 4:3. Obviously it's not square as I stated earlier. When you use the handles to zoom in/out you can create a small bounding box that looked square to me at the time.
The strange thing is that I can't reproduce the problem now, but I haven't had the time to find the exact picture that I was working on earlier. I will do more investigation as it maybe realted to the size of the photo.
Thanks
Dennis
Project settings:
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Video tracks: 4
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
DV Audio -- NTSC, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
