I was successful in burning mpg's only

Guess it's a bug...but that's pretty hard to believe....oh wait...it's Ulead.

I don't understand your post.
What does ulead have to do with a corrupted dv file?

You said you were successful at burning mpeg files.
I don't understand, that is what gets burnt to the dvd.

Do you have a bad DV file or not?
Was the dv file written by the ulead codec or another?

I don't think any clip was ever corrupted. MF just can't convert avi's to mpg's for burning.

For DV AVI, MS DV codec is preferred and highly recommended.

Project settings in MSP

Edit file format: Microsoft AVI files
Compression: DV Video Encoder-type 1

All I see is Microsoft RLE and Microsoft 1 codecs in the drop down
No MS DV

I open the file in AVICodec and it says Sony Digital Video which is my cap from my DAC-100
