invalid parameters

Post by shipcord »

I am new to video editing. I am tying to import video from my Hitachi 550
video cam. I click on capture, dvd, and the video comes up. I click on import, and get an invalid parameter message. What am I doing wrong?

Almost everything. For starters, you give us nothing to work with.

Have a look at this first, do what's required and we will see what we can do.

invalid parameters

I'm sorry I didn't give more information. as I said I am new to this. I downloaded a trial version of VS9 and sucessfully, a while back, and created an edited movie from my hitachi 550A digital camcorder. So I ordered VS9 SE from e-bay, it came from australia. I live in the U.S. I just tried to import a clip from a DVD ram mini disc. I selected the capture tab and selected the dvd import tab. It will view and play the clip, but when I select the import tab it gives me an invalid parameter message. I have plenty of memory and a fast processor. Like I said, it created a movie from the trial version without any trouble. Is australian
softe ware compatible with my camera. I have been reading about Pal and ntsc..... what does invaild parameter mean? I am not sure what other information you need, but if you tell me I will try to provide it.

Thanks

The procedure for importing from a DVD disc is shown here:
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=13200
(The procedure is the same with VS9)

The software is the same worldwide but during installation you should choose if you are in a PAL Region or an NTSC Region so that the software will adapt itself to your particular settings.
