Can anyone please guide me through each step of getting a edited project, turning it into a file so I can put this onto a DVD? My daughter's graduation is this weekend and I have to get this done. I need this step 1 step 2 etc...Why is this so hard for me to figure out!

First, if you don't the VS9 manual, you should download it.archivistscott wrote:Can anyone please guide me through each step of getting a edited project, turning it into a file so I can put this onto a DVD? I'm at work, & I'll try to walk you through this from memory:
Once your project is completed (edited, transitions, titles etc..) go to the top right of VS9 & click on "Share". Once in "share" click on "create file".
Once you click on create file, your project will begin to render. This may take some time depending on the size of your project & the speed of your computer.
On average, a project size of 30mins may take anywhere from 1-2 hrs to render your project. Again this is an average.
After the project is rendered, they'll be several more steps in creating a DVD disk.
Either someone else of this forum can assist you from here or if you have the full version of VS9, I would suggest reading the help files.

Although the request is simple the answer is quite lengthy.archivistscott wrote:Can anyone please guide me through each step of getting a edited project, turning it into a file so I can put this onto a DVD? As John Hunter has said please follow the recommended procedure.
I have started work on a complete "From Camcorder to DVD" tutorial and have split this up into sections. so far I have completed Section 1 - capturing from the camcorder to the hard Drive. That alone took me about 2 weeks worth of work in my spare time.

I am also aware of two other tutorials being created which again are going to take quite some time by the authors.
