I have upgraded to V 10 Plus from version 8 which was itself an upgrade from full version 7. The installations went very well. I had previously un-installed version 7 and the Read Me for version 10 says I can un-install previous versions. Problem is - how? since Add/Remove Programs does not have a removal option for version 8, (only a dialog box telling me it is an upgrade!) and I cannot find anything in the program folders.
The second problem is that I am trying to make a voice narration and when I click on Voice Record get a box which says "Device error: Cannot open the wave-in device". I can record on other programs and all sounds through the computer are working properly. I have tried the audio settings under Capture but without success.
I expect I have made a simple error somewhere and any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Two little problems with version 10 Plus

Just about the voice record part of your post:
I record separate from my computer video editing work. Many simple mp3 players have voice record, and mine makes nice .WAV files. Others create .mp3 files.
It's simple to transfer the file from the recorder to the computer, then insert it into the voiceover track.

Regarding the sound problem check:
Open Sounds and Audio Devices in Control Panel
