No sound on video player

Post by zek2008 »

Hi!!!

I capture a video from my VCR with DVD Movie Factory on MPG format. Then I play it on the same soft and I see and hear it without problem.

Then I try to see the generated video on Windows Media Player or BSPlayer, and I see the image but with no sound.

So I do not want to save it in a DVD because Im afraid to have no sound

Any help will be appreciatte.

Best regards,

Ezequiel

Its possibly a codec issue. Because you can hear the sound in MovieFactory try creating a DVD but burn it to a hard drive folder rather than a disc.

Now play that DVD on your computer with a DVD Player such as
Ulead DVD Player 2.0 that comes with DMF4
WinDVD 7 which comes with DMF5
InterVideo® WinDVD® Player which comes with VS10

Or if you're still stuck for a player there is at least one in our link to free stuff:

Hi!! Thanks for your answer....I try to install other codes, but I get no luck.

I can hear any other video on WMP and I hear the sound while Im recording on DVD MF. If I close the program...then reopen and insert the files that I previously recorded, and get no sound either.

Any other idea????

Thanks!!!

Check the windows Volume control.
goto Options | adjust volume control for recording
(Default is for playback) then below the various sliders is a tick box.
You probably have the wrong one ticked. At a guess I think you would need line input to be the one selected

I have had the same problem. I even have gone through ALL of the Volume options like sjj1805 suggested, but no luck.

I did find this though:
I received MovieFactory 4 bundled with computer hardware. Whenever I play DVDs using Ulead DVD Player 2.0, I get no sound. I can play the DVDs with sound on Windows Media Player.

Not all features are available in all OEM (bundled) versions of DVD MovieFactory. Some features, such as support for Dolby® Digital audio, may not be available in your version. To take advantage of all features, including Dolby® Digital audio, you need to upgrade a Full version of DVD MovieFactory.

This is the case of my system (the bundled version), but I'm just running through the simple, basic, original Windows audio settings. I have two small speakers plugged in and thats all.

Any other suggestions?
