Can anybody tell me what the correct SA settings are, the reason why I am asking is because recently I have captured PAL, created PAL mpg2 and burned NTSC DVD (it abviously converted) I played the DVD in South Africa on my home DVD player and this thing was 100% PERFECT.
I did exactly the same thing but burned PAL DVD, played this thing on the same DVD player burned it on the same media and this thing is SHOKKINGLY BAD. Jerky and blocks
If there is any one who can help
Please let me know.
If I don't get back to you very soon, I am not always on-line.
Cheers & Thanks

I've done a fair bit of voluntary work for a charity in South Africa, and everything they've sent me has been PAL.
I'm suprised putting in a PAL source file and choosing an NTSC end file resulted in 100% perfect.
What settings etc did you use for both dvds.
Did you use the same Mpeg2 files to make both?
Are you sure the mpegs you used for the PAL were in fact PAL?

South African settings
Haai Markus, ek dink jou DVD-speler is gesuip
Seriously, check your DVD player settings - I am not surprised that your DVD player will play either format - in setup it should have "auto" and PAL and NTSC settings. It's just possible that the NTSC disc tripped it over to NTSC, and that it hasn't flipped back to PAL. Have you tried other PAL discs in the player?
If it's not the player, then yes, I would very carefully double-check the settings used for output. Also, it could be trying to Smart Render using the NTSC render, so I suggest you change the project settings, save and change them back - this will get rid of the smart rendered bits and force a complete new render.
Let me know how it turns out
