Your help and knowledge is proving invaluable, many thanks for all your hard work Steve. I've saved footage in WMM2 (high quality video PAL) WMV and MF5 opened it ok.

Also I've been looking at your tutorials you kindly pointed me to. Exactly the sort of stuff I need to absorb. You've been putting a huge amount of effort in producing this info for people like me just starting out. What a great help you and others are...I did the right thing landing in this Forum.

Your patient explainations are helping a great deal and I'm begining to think VS10 could be the one for me after all. A bit of success does wonders :D

I'll be back
Cheers, Ieu

I have been going through the same with my Panasonic too.

Can VS10 create the dvd vob files too?

I am not looking to create any dvd masterpieces I just want to be able to get my family video recordings onto dvd in the highest quality possible.

Excellent, thanks for the tutorials. I will get a trial version of VS10 and see how I get on with that.

I am starting to think Panasonic have screwed us over with these new camcorders. VS10 is having problems too, when I click on capture video I get
Unable to switch to capture mode.
Check if your video capture driver is working properly.

Failed to build a preview graph.
Then a bunch of error codes.

I can click on capture afterwards, but is the captured video going to be ok? Should I proceed and see what happens? Does ulead create patches that caters for new hardware?
