I've searched and have not found this question. Maybe because it's a basic concept, but I'm new at this, so please bear with me... What is the difference between saving a video in NTSC-DVD format or MPEG-2 format? Isn't MPEG-2 what is encoded to DVD? What do I want to save in if I'm going to be bringing it into DVD workshop to author the DVD? Thanks.

Hi
If you select Mpeg you will get a template usually suitable for viewing on a pc or the web.
The default frame type being frame based. Other properties are also wrong for burning a dvd. You may end up with Mpeg 1.
By choosing Pal-DVD or Ntsc DVD you will use a template suitable for creating a dvd up to one hour long. This template uses compatible Mpeg 2 properties.
If you opt to create your own templates Tools Make Movie Manager, again select Dvd as the compression type, then edit to select the audio type.
If you want to be sure you are using dvd compatible properties choose DVD
Hope this Helps
