I have been thinking about downloading this program. I have already downloaded the trial version. So I have two questions:
1. There seems to be a lot of negative feedback on the PictureShow 4. Is this an overall good program or should I look elsewhere?
2. Is the actual version larger than the trial? The 15 day trial only gave me a few options as far as backgrounds for the pictures. I thought it would be a full version for 15 days.
Thank you.

As to Question 1, I can only offer my personal opinion. I don't want to underplay the problems that some PS4 users have experienced (many of which have been resolved here). On the other hand, consider the fact that support forums are primarily about problems versus success stories. Undoubtedly Ulead/Intervideo has sold tens of thousands of PS4 so it stands to reason that the silent majority of users are happy campers. Your experiences (good or bad) with the trial version are your best indicator of how the full version will perform on your system.
In general, I think PS4 packs quite a few features into a friendly 1-2-3 interface requiring only a minimal learning curve. If you want maximum control of your slideshows there are other programs that approach the professional level but of course they are more costly.
As to Question 2, the trial version limits you to 10 photos per slideshow and includes only the bare minimum of content. The paid version unlocks the 10 photo limit and includes a good assortment of additional menus, music, decorations, transitions, pan & zoom effects, etc.
If you opt to purchase the program be sure to first uninstall the trial version, run disc cleanup (from My Computer) and reboot before installing.
Hope that helps

Hi,preacher ben wrote:Thanks for the help. Here is one more quick question: Is it best to download off internet or buy the program disc or does it really matter? What if something happens to my computer, will I still have access to it online like I would if I ordered the disc?
If you order the download you'll have immediate access to the software and your links will remain active for about 2 weeks. I usually prefer downloads but there are quite a few who prefer CD-ROM. The program is identical either way. To be honest, once I've made up my mind to buy, I can't stand waiting... lol! But when I order software via download I ALWAYS save a backup copy on CD-R or an external hard drive. I include copies of my registration email and receipt as well. If something unexpected happens no worries except of course what to do about the broken computer
