Hello,
I have been working with video studio 10, and have been amazed at what it can do, however, I am having some problems with either the video video quality against the green screen. I have a green chroma screen and am getting a green halo or jagged lines across the image. I also am having problems with the image being transpartent. I have played around with the demo video which is great. My video that I loaded onto the computer looks good until it is put over the background, or I should say when I apply the matte. I don't see how to adjust the spill suppression.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Mark.
Chroma Key

Chromakey is all about even lighting, namrekka. To do it correctly, you would light your subject or object from four angles...a key light, a fill light, a back light for the subject/object, and a background light for the screen. As most people don't have the ability to do this at home, you have to compromise. Make sure that your subject is not casting any kind of shadow against the screen, as this will impact the encoded keying signal when you apply it. Before you place your subject in, make sure that you have a strong, even light on the screen. Placing your subject in front of the screen should not effect the lighting on the screen itself. As for the transpanency issue, there are various chromakey clipper settings in VS which can help with this problem, you just have to play with them.

Chroma key
Hi I'm having trouble getting a good quality bluescreen effect - I get major pixelation around the edges and a blue halo.
How do I find the "chromakey clipper settings" mentioned in this posting?
Also, how can I use the dropper to select a colour from an image on the overlay track? The chroma key takes immediate effect based on a default colour, so I can't see my image in true colour to select the right shade of blue.
Thanks!

Re: Chroma key
Temporarily copy your overlay to a point at the end of your project so that you have nothing on the video track and only the overlay on the overlay track. Now use the eyedropper to select the colour you want to chroma key out. Now move the overlay to its intended position.jandooo wrote:Hi I'm having trouble getting a good quality bluescreen effect - I get major pixelation around the edges and a blue halo.
