Feature request: Chapter button flexibility
When I was looking for DV > DVD software, I demo'ed quite a few programs. My final decision came down to VideoStudio and CyberLink PowerDirector 5. I'm glad I chose VideoStudio, but there is one feature I miss from PowerDirector. In PD you could have the chapter button (frame or animation) start anywhere, where in videostudio it only lets you show from the beginning of the chapter marker. Anyone else wish they had this option? What's the best way to get Ulead to notice user suggestions and are they responsive to that sort of thing?

This is unclear to me... this seems to indicate that you can do this with MF4 but in VS9 you can only use the same starting point as the chapter. Am I missing something?

No -- you are right. MF4 (and 5) will allow you to choose any starting point for your main menu and chapter motion buttons. VS9 will not.
But this is not quite as illogical as it might seem. VS9 is primarily an editing program, which for the sake of utility, also has a somewhat limited capacity to author a disc. MF4 (and 5) on the other hand, is primarily an authoring program, with some limited editing abilities attached to it. It thus stands to reason that MF will do a better job, and have more options in things such as menus, than VS. In other words, you are trying to compare apples with oranges.

Thanks, for clearing that up. I understand why that is the case.. what confused me is why Steve J was pointing that out to me since basically it was just telling me what I already knew... that you couldn't do it in VideoStudio.
