I was wondering for those who have VS10 is there a lot of difference and is it worth the upgrade from VS9?
thanks Bruce

If you have a use for multiple overlay tracks, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, and greater DVD menu customization then, yes, it is worth it. If you have no need for these than you can probably stay with VS9.

split video
Does this allow me to do a split video?
I know it does pic in pic, but say, a 60/40 split?

Have you checked the tutorials on this forum? I remember seeing one about doing a split screen effect (was that you, Steve?). I'm sure someone else will point you in the right direction if a search doesn't produce it.
BTW, the three things I mentioned as being the main reasons to upgrade, well worth the $50

Yes you could do a split-screen, 60/40, 50/50, etc... Just place the clips in either the overlay tracks, and resize them. or 1 in the Main track, the 2nd in an overlay track. To resize the clip in the main track, check the box Distort Clip. Then you can move, resize and distort it.
In fact with VS10+, you can have a pic-n'-pic with 7 total clips, or images. In order to do a simple split-screen or pic-n'-pic with any earlier version meant using intermediate renders..
