Hi
I have some family photos that I would like to copy to dvd-rw for back up, so I just copy and pasted the mail folder with all its contents to the dvd-rw, but that showed some extra strange named files in addition to the photo files, ie.
\Photos\Castro\DSC00033.JPG: Q30lsldxJoudresxAaaqpcawXc:$DATA
is it save to delete those files?
Can I use MF3.5 for that and how, is the burn function good for copying photos which I may like to delete later from my dvd-rw disks?
Another failure is when I try to copy folders with movies in them, it says the format is not compatible and you may loose data? Isn’t copy and past does it all fail safe..
Thanks
copy and backup

Never assume it's safe to delete files if you haven't physically retrieved the stored/backuped data from the CD/DVD's and verified they are the same as the original files.
I think you need to find the MF Instruction Manual pdf file, print it out and read it.
If you are copying & pasting or drag & dropping you need to format the dvd-rw first in order to use it that way.
That is called "Packet Writing"
