DWS 2.231 fails with Pioneer DVR-111D in system...

Long time user of DWS 2.x - I've upgraded to latest that I know of - 2.231 a while ago. I've been using SONY DW-D26A DL burner successfully for sometime. No problems. Just got Pioneer DVR-111D DL burner and DWS will not bring up either the DVD creation panel or the ISO burner panel. Hangs permanently requiring a reboot. I have removed all files in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD Workshop\ to avoid any conflicts. I have seen stale data here cause failures before. I saved all this data, but removing it did not help. I looked in registry, but did not see any data that seemed relevant to remove.

System did contain HP-200 and SONY DW-D26A. It now contains SONY DW-D26A and PIONEER DVR-111D. So, adding the PIONEER or removing the HP has completely broken DWS for me.

Any suggestions? Any similar issues and workarounds for those?
[edit: I have completely uninstalled both DWS 1.0 and 2.0 from my system, deleted all files and cleaned out all ULEAD registry items. Then I installed DWS 2.0 and applied Patch 5 -2.232. After all this, it fails the same way.]

I have tested the DVR-111D with Roxio to burn a SL DVD and it worked fine. Roxio that I have apparently does not support DL burning. 111D firmware level is 1.19.

Tried Ulead CD/DVD Update Pack?

If it's not work then you need to file a tech support form to Ulead.

After applying the burner update pack, DWS appears to work.
A new project can be built and successfully burned to DVD and an old project can be opened and the burner dialog also opened successfully.
