Set Chapters Don't Show

Greetings!

I am trying to create a DVD video disk in VS 10+. It is based on video recorded on a Sony DVD Recorder of a BookTV interview that needed editing-out content before and after the interview.

I am able to follow the "Recommended Procedures" without problems all the way to the Share - Burn DVD phase, when all optional attempts to "Create Menu - Add Chapters" fail. Manual setting and Auto setting of chapters show the chapters in the view line, lists them on the menu template, but the thumbnails don't show on the menu template or the preview. Hopeful attempts to burn the project don't have the chapters either.

I'm stumped.

How do I maintain the Menu Chapter choices?
