Haven't been having too much luck finding a workable answer to this one... I have recorded many dvr-ms files in MCE 2005. I am interested in burning these to DVD for use on a standalone player.
When watching tv and dvds I prefer to have the closed captions on. When I watch the burned DVDs the CC info is gone. I have tried burning them with the Video Studio 10, but the program offers to convert the file to MPEG before doing anything with it. I suspect this is where the CC info is stripped away.
I know many of the professional programs offer the capability of adding your own subtitles/captions, but I'd prefer something that will just use the existing CC info, and burn it so that the CC decoder in the tv can read them. Is there a way to do this in the Video Studio 10? or does one of the other programs offered by ULead do this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Closed Captions are a bit of a #####. I have found no workable answer to this except to simply conclude that only the high-end production studios can afford the necessary equipment to do closed captions with and I did a search of the net and there are no other programs that work with what you want to do. I'd like to do CC myself, but its not possible in Ulead.

DVD Workshop Express?
Sorry if this constitues cross posting to some extent, but I figured I'd follow up the thread. So I notice that DVD Workshop Express can handle subtitles... If I could extract the CC info out of the dvr-ms file manually, would I be able to use this info (as .scc or .raw file) for the subtitles using DVDWE?
