Burning double layer

Post by willydeluxe »

But first, what's with the Search function in the Forum? Like a good boy I did a Search for Double Layer, got a whole load of posts that didn't contain either word, then when I clicked Back I'd lost the Search results page and had to start all over again. Huh?

Anyway: using VS9 I'm just about to burn my first disc and it'll be a DL: but in the little bar at the bottom it shows me a single layer disc size. As soon as I saw that I went no further - didn't compile the project, so maybe I'm missing something.
Do I have to do anything, tell VS9 anything, or will the disc size increase as soon as I pass the 4.3 mark?
Any other tips for DL buring? The discs I have are Pleomax +R 2.4x.

In the burning module (create disc) there is a little icon bottom left of the screen next to the gear wheel/cog icon. Click that and you get "Preferences" there you can select the DL disc size.
As far as tips go I'd slow the burn down as much as possible, 1x or 2x.

Actually the rules of the forum request you do a search...it doesn't have to be a successful one...just as long as you did one so I guess that's ok!
