300P01 Disables imports from folders

I am using MovieFactory 3 SE. I have had good luck with the program and the other day downloaded and installed the Update Pack - Build 300P01. Now I can't import video_ts files from folders either on a disk or on my hard drive. I get an error message - - then complete program shutdown every time this option is chosen.

This option worked fine before the upgrade patch was installed. So, I uninstalled the whole program and reinstalled from the CD. Again, I could import the video_ts files until I installed the 300P01 upgrade.

Anyone else have this problem? If so is there a fix?
