First things first, there needs to be a place in this forum for two things:

(*) Ulead Video@Home message forum sub-board
(*) General forum sub-board for posting stuff that doesn't fit (like this)

Ok, now I have a question about Video@Home. I just bought an Instant TV which includes Video@Home 2. So far it is great.

I have hooked up two inputs to the Instant TV: direct composite from cable box (unscrambled), and coaxial from the raw cable. This works great, I now have two input channels, one controlled by the cable box (so I can record things from premium channels for my personal collection), the other from the raw cable (allowing me to use the Instant TV built-in tuner to access any non-premium channels).

The one thing I can't seem to figure out is how to do SCHEDULED recording from the COMPOSITE input. The scheduler doesn't seem to have an 'input selector", and in my tests it doesn't matter if the input is set to composite or even turned off, it will switch to the coaxial input before doing any scheduled recording.

I'm pretty sure I can record MANUALLY from the composite input. Is it possible to schedule recording to input from composite (without unplugging coaxial input, which I haven't tried)?

Finally, some suggestions. When doing scheduled-recording it would be great if the ability to add an addition amount of time to end is possible. This is helpful when a program goes longer than expected and the user happen to be monitoring anyway. Last night a tv show went 15 seconds past its supposed end time, so recording got cut short. Of course I now add a minute before and after, but this would still be a nice feature. Also, it would be cool to allow more scheduling while recording, but not sure what problems this could cause (haven't thought it through).

Thanks for listening! :)
