Hauppauge win tv pvr usb2, can't get channel 200 set

Post by url »

My hauppauge unit has been working fine until the office tech updated M$ and then I had to do a clean uninstall with the hcwclear and reinstall from the Support site.
Now I can't get my Channel 200 set. I never scanned all the channels before as i don't watch tv, however now I can't seem to get the channel 200 to appear on the screen when I try to create my dvd from my vhs it simply says "stereo". It does show the video as it plays, and in the dropdown menu where I click the video record button it shows channel 200 and the date and number of the recording.
Can anyone suggest how I get this channel 200 into my screen where it used to be?

Also, why are my PM's getting stuck in my Out Box and not getting Sent? any ideas?

Thanking you in advance for comments.

Again this Hauppauge unit is hooked up to my notebook via USB.
I really hope that someone has some ideas.
It has taken me several hrs being a Noob to get the drivers and codecs installed off the Support site as I am not to sure of what I am doing and i have a work project that I am working on for Monday and it is 2 am Sunday.
Best regards and cheers

I'm not familar with the Haupauge units, however to answer the question regarding the PMs...

PMs are not "stuck". They will remain in your outbox until the person they are intended for opens them. What you may find that members choose not to use the PM to answer questions, that should be posted so that others may benefit by the answers. So the intended receiver will simply ignore them..

Strange, as my other PM's went straight through.

The Hauppauge units as you indicate are not that well known and you can see by the responses here to this post and thus I can wait for some time before I get a reply!! :(

I realise this is a couple of months old and you've probably got it sorted out now. In case you haven't you could try the Hauppauge Forum
