Hi Makako,
What Steve is asking is very important to try to help you. There are some things, like video noise that can be introduced during capturing, or by system configurations and setups. That type of noise would be best removed, by eliminating what is causing it.
So please provide us with details of how you captured/transfered the video to your computer. The capture, and project settings used. Did the video come from a DVD, VCR, TV, or internet download? There are a dozen different formats used, and being able to deduce if the noise was already in the video, or not is important.
Have you looked at any of the video filters, and experimented in using them? The way to really learn the art of video editing is through trial and error. If you have not made any mistakes, then you haven't learned much....

NTSC 720 x 480

Steve i will try this codec and i will send a email later if work or not the codec...thanks...
Hi, Steve.
He didn't mention it, but he *has* to use Pinnacle to capture from his VCR. I have the Dazzle DigitalVideoCreator (it's an analog USB gadget) and I *have* to use MovieStar with it to capture from my VCR or Super8 Video Camera. Ulead's products (I have VS9 & MSP8) do not recognize it. Pinnacle bought out Dazzle and they have their own version of DVC, which is the dc10plus he mentions.
Makako,
Try to take the raw video you have captured and render it to MPEG-2 in Pinnacle without any edits. Yes, it will take a while because Pinnacle is slower then molasses on a cold day. Then load the output file into MSP and see if you can make the edits you need in it and let us know what happens.

Re: thanks
Makako, I haven't seen a dc10plus in person, but when mine doesn't work, I just unplug it, reboot, then plug it back in. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems with mine.
Good luck!
Mathis...
