People from time to time have this problem. I have learned to guarantee it never happens by doing the following whenever I install ANY Ulead product: When the installation starts, it asks you to either indicate which country you live in OR which television system it should set. Most people choose the latter. I choose both. I first select my country (Australia, which is PAL), but I then go down to the TV system question, and select PAL. The drop down menu of countries will be greyed out, but you will see that your country is still highlighted. I then proceed with the installation, and have never had any problem like yours.

i do the same and have no problems cause i noticed on the installer if you just select the country (eg: Australia) the tv system doesn't change from NTSC to PAL, so i select PAL as well :)

Strangely enough, without knowing what others are doing in this instance, I do the same as Ken Berry and AstroMikaku, I change both sections in the installer and never had a problem either.

How did you try that? Uninstalled and reinstalled? Did you delete the installation folder and Ulead system folder for VS also? If you are using XP, you will need to delete the Ulead system folder for VS also for each user, including the default user.
