I get the error message: Either no capture driver is installed in this system or no device is connected
But I installed the driver and I'm connected. What this could be?

I currently use Ulead VideoStudio 8 (Retail version). Can I use this with the Plextor PX-M402U and PX-TV402U?
No. Plextor offers a customized version of VideoStudio 8 which supports the PX-M402U and PX-TV402U. You can only use this customized version wit the PX-M402U and PX-TV402U.
I bought the unit some time ago and I had to buy a Special edition Ulead video studio SE 8 disk. You cannot capture from this device into any retail version of UVS.
The unit also came bundled with InterVideo Windvd 2 edit software.
My advice would be to Just capture usingWindows XP movie maker,[free] or Windvd if u have it, save as a mpeg or avi. Then you can import your captured file into versions 9 or 10 of Ulead video studio.
You can buy the Special edition disk from plex site for 49.00 [or for next to nothing on ebay] but if you want to use Ulead 9 or 10, you will have to capture from somewhere else 1st in order to use those versions.
