Post by Jean-Philippe »

I buy by ithe net the DVD MF V5 new version. Before I have the V2, and it's a very pleasure to use it.

I install the V5, and when i want to generate an iso file (to burn a dvd ,...), il have a bug in the multiplexing audio/video phase.
The information is :
file name ldvdeng.dll
version 3.9.16.269
offset 0x0001C124

I have re-install (at many times) the V5 by no change....

An other information, when I install V5 I have this error :
Error in dvdmf.exe :
Intruction at 0x01ad2fa0 take memory 0x01b42248 - The memoru cannot be "read"

I do a re-install and it's seems OK by no.

Please help

I also bought DVDMF5 , even twice : a payed version from the website and a cd version in Belgium. None of them is working. I'v read all the tips and tricks from the forum, re-installed, deleted all entries, maps , registry keys, installed this version on two PC's. Always the same problem while multiplexing audio en video. Tried with different mpg2 files (all kinds of bitrates) nothing works. Finaly installed this version on my old (? 1.8 Ghz P4) PC and still the same problem. So, I re-installed MF4 and with this version everything works fine.
5 mails to the help desk of Ulead....no answer

Hi Pol54,

I hope we can get this working for you..

Since your problem is occuring doing the same function, Multiplexing, we have to look at why MF5 does this there, and what is making it fail...

1. What are the properties of the file(s) you are using? Are you using DV/AVI, MPEG2, xVid, DivX or some other?

2.You did state MPEG2 files, where did the MPEG2 files originate? Imported from a camcorder, imported from a DVD, or created from DV/AVI files in some other video editing app or Movie Factory?

3. What audio format are you using? Wav is prefered and seems to pose less problems then MP3.

4. When creating your DVD, are there background applications running that might interfere, or take up valuable CPU resources? Video editing is very demanding on a computer, and therefore the applications need exclusive access to the CPU. There are several of us that have even setup special hardware profiles on our systems so that all the garbage programs will not be running. Hi vidoman (Ron),

I realy hope we can make things work...

As for your questions :

1&2 : I'm using a Sony DCR-VX9000E camcorder ,capturing the tape with a Pinnacle capture card (firewire) and editing with Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus. With this program I render different part to mpeg2 : bitrate 6000 till 8000 (with MF4 I can use bitrate 8000 without troubles - with MF5 I tried several bitrates VB,CB, 5000 to 7000.....)

3. Within those made mpeg2 files I've used mp3 audio format. To make my DVD authoring with MF5 (and MF4) I also use audio mp3.

4. As you suggested, it's far better that the authoring program has almost exclusive acces to CPU power. You have probably seen in my profile, that I'm using a P4, 3.2 Ghz, 2 Gb memory, 2 HD raid position for faster reading and writing...Usualy I take care for other processes during rendering : no virusdetection, no spamfilters, no internet...and so on..

I can assure you that none of these precautions are necesary while using MF4 !!!! I'm lucky that this version is doing it's work fine, no troubles at all.

Every day I hope that Ulead is posting an update .......

Hi Pol54 and Hi videoman

Il try new parameters in DMF V5 version and it's running good

In the panel "Project parameters", the field "No convert compatible MPEG file" is On by default, I set this field Off.
The generation take very long time, but all is OK, the result si good
Try this option - it's run !!!

For videoman, my MPEG files are generate by Pinnacle Studio V9 (in french format 25 views/s = PAL) i also try in NTSC mode ...it's the same problem.

Thanks all

Regards
