Date for MSP 8.0 SP1 release?

Post by dennisbthomas »

Does anyone know when the official MSP 8.0 SP 1 will be available for downloading? I thought it was going to be today, but it doesn't look like it.
Thanks
Dennis

I think that is exactly what Dennis is getting at -- the currently available beta still has some issues and was supposed to be replaced with a final release today.

It was scheduled for Friday (yesterday) but it has been delayed until 30 May. Presumably, to make it better!

Cool. I've been a professional software developer for 20+ years, and I'd rather wait a few more days. I know from personal experience that it is never the development team that is pushing to get a product out the door -- they'd rather fix bugs and add features.

I suppose it'll be even better again (no show so far).
This was meant as a joke in case you feel I am moaning, although waiting is terrible.

There are some bugs found in the 0038 beta need to be fixed so it's been delayed.

Also Ulead Taiwan was taking a day off on 5/31 for Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.

I think soon you will see the official service pack to be released. I know some of you might already know when, but just be patient, it's not too long. :)
