2 hour Vhs to 2 hour dvd

Post by VanG »

Hi. I am practically new to this :?.

Can anyone tell me if how to (or if there is a post I can read that already answers this) burn two hours on a dvd?

I have already burned one hour dvds following the suggested procedure even though I am still only using VideoStudio 7se (sorry, I am still trying things out before I decide to buy).

I recorded to the vhs (home) movie to dv tapes...but what settings do I need to capture it and then be able to make a 2 hour dvd?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks.

I dont know video studio 7se so I cannot tell you which setting in which menu..., but in general when you create an output file (i.e. when you are rendering your project) to mpeg, you can specify the maximum bitrate to use. The lower the bitrate, the more video will fit in the same space, but the worser also the qulitity. For 2 hours a vbr less than 4000 kbit/s will about work. The quality will be better than vhs, so it will be good enough.
