Hi There,
How can I drag and drop the videoclip thumbnail onto the time line without the clip leaping left to join previous clip? I have titles music etc so want a blank screen until editing the clip in I wish to use at a point which does not directly link to previous clip, if you see what I mean. The drag & drop to a required position works fine on an overlay track, but then I can't add dissolves or fades as you can in the main top track.
Please help....where am I going wrong?
Thanks Eddie
Editing to top track video.Using Videostudio 9

Hi Edward,
That is the correct behavior for clips in the main video track. To keep a clip in the main track from sliding to the left, you need to place a color clip in the timeline. Set the duration to the length of space you need to keep. The color clip will act as a placeholder. Just remember when you no longer need it to remove it.
