I AM USING A DELL INSPIRON NOTEBOOK, AND FOR A BEGINNER I HAVE
HAD REASONABLE SUCCESS WITH BURNING A 25 MINUTE SERMON
FILMED ON A CAMCORDER (DVD) AT A LOCAL, CHURCH WITH THE ONLY EDITING BEING
ADDING TITLES AT THE BEGINNING AND END. AGAINST THE ADVICE GIVEN I BURN THE DVD FROM THE SHARE (CREATE DISC FUNCTION)
WITH THE PROJECT STILL IN TIMELINE. FOR A 25 MINUTE SERMON
IT TAKES 1 HOUR TO BURN -IS THIS A REASONABLE TIME OR CAN IT
BE SHORTENED. NOTE I CHOOSE (SAME AS PROJECT FILE) -OTHERWISE
IF I CREATE VIDEO FILE A SUPER SLOW MOTION RENDERING PROCESS APPEARS ON THE SCREEN. (THE FILM APPEARS IN SLOW MOTION AND INDICATE IT IS RENDERING.

The forum would need a lot more information in order to answer the question for you. That burn speed is way too slow, but the reasons for that are related to many variables. What are your capture settings for your project? Is it an AVI file or an MPEG2 file? What is your processor speed and system RAM? What speed is your burner burning at and have you checked the settings for the burn to ensure that they are identical to your project?

terry,
thanks for the input, not much of a computer guy but I observed that
if use sonic dvd to make a exact copy of a disc (which is a mini dvd)
that comes out of the camera this process takes less than 10 minutes
that of course is without any editing and rendering, and authoring.
