Where did the audio go?

Post by stannmaple »

I've searched and didn't find anyone else with this problem, so maybe it is a quick fix. On my DVD, the audio on the menus and the intro play fine, but my audio has dissapeared somehow from the video. When I was editing chapters, the audio was there, and now it's gone. I can't find any setting that could have changed this... any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Please tell us something about your file format, and how you captured it. What's the audio format in your source file. You might have a corrupt video file... flaky things can happen with corrupt video files... (Sometimes a bad file will play OK, but foul-up a video editor or DVD authoring tool.) The Read This First... post at the top of the forum tells you what we need to know in order to help you.

What's "now"? When you go back and edit chapters again? When you preview? When you play your burned DVD?

Seems I fixed it. I still don't know what was wrong, but I just re-imported the video and made the appropriate links to them and voila! As good as new!
Yeah, when I previewed and tried to set chapters again, the audio disappeared. Seems to have been a freak thing... I'll let you know if it happens again. Thanks for the help.
