I'm having trouble with the sound gradually getting out of sync with the picture.
I'm shooting video using a Hitachi DVD-cam (DZ-MV230A), then capturing it using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3. I then import the clips into Ulead VideoStudio 8 and burn them onto a DVD (NTSC). Typically, I'm putting 40-50 minutes worth of 30 sec.-1 min. clips into a project, with an introductory title and wipes between the clips.
When playback begins, the sound and picture match, but gradually the sound falls behind, so that by the end of 40-50 minutes it's off by about a second. This is a problem I've had ever since I started using this combination of products about two years ago. All the video I shoot is of my daughter, who only recently started talking, so the problem is now more pressing.

Hi
Start here---a lot of reading
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0
If this is the problem, the OOS is only noticeable after using the burner module.
Although the Mpeg created in Share Create Video file is corrupt it WILL play ok on your media players, the OOS is only noticeable after using the burner module.
Create a DVD folder to test and save a disc.
It has been reported that installing the Latest Burner Engine update cures the problem.
I updated to VS 9 before I could test this!

Other solution
Do NOT use Smart Render during Create Video File.
Hope this Helps

If you're rendering files in VS8, never use the 'smart render' option as this will guarantee that the end burn will be out of sync. Even with VS10, I don't trust 'smart render', even though Ulead claim to have solved the issue in VS9. I found in VS8, if you take a file that was renderd with 'smart render' and then render it again without 'smart render', all my sync problems went away.

For me, the audio sync issues with VideoStudio 8 didn't exist until I tried downloading the only major update that was released for the product (it added dual-layer burning, among other changes).
I've been stubbornly clinging to the original CD-ROM version of VideoStudio 8, as it's the last version of the product that truly works for me. I was considering VideoStudio 10, but recent testing of the trial product confirms that the issue is still there--at least with my own system.

issue resolved
Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions. At the "Share" step in VS8 I had previously been selecting "Create Disc". It took me a while to find the "Perform Smart Render" option box, since it requires going a different route, selecting "Create Video File" at the "Share" step. Once I figured that out, I unselected "Perform Smart Render" and saved the file and burned it onto a disc, and now the picture and sound are in sync all the way to the end. Thanks again.
