AUDIO MIXING?
I cannot get the audio mixing panel to work. I am trying to adjust one track of audio, but when I open the mix panel and try to adjust, all the other tracks are included. I don't understand this! Nothing is grouped- I just want to adjust one audio track where no other audio is. Help appreciated.

Hi Aiki88,
First please complete your system information in your profile. Doing so allows us to check your setup for possible solutions to your problems.
Next what version of MSP?
You haven't accidently selected all the audio tracks just prior to opening the audio mixing panel? Can you describe what steps you performed before this?
Have you tried a new project to see if you get the same results?

Great, now I know what version etc...
FWIW, I tried to reproduce the issue, and so far have not been able to. I placed a video in Track-1, that also had audio, and a Smartsound audio in audio Track-2. I then launched the audio mixer, and started changing the volume on the audio tracks seperately. I could not get it to change the level on both at the same time, with the exception of using the Master Volume.
Is there anything special about your project settings? Like using MP3, or Dolby 5.1? Speaking of Dolby 5.1, did you d/l and install the public preview SP1?
Since it happens with other projects too, It does appear to be hickup with your program. I would wait to see if Devil responds on this. He is the real brains with MSP...
Last resort of course would be the dreaded redo (reinstall, or if you have the full install disc, repair)..

Sorry, Devil has nothing to add at this stage.
At the moment, I'm running 8.1, not 8.0: as there is much difference between the two, there can be no guarantee that anything I do can have the same effect as 8.0. I can't imagine any reason why the effect mentioned should occur if the OP has no grouped tracks. Has this been double-checked?

The updates for MSP8 can be found here:

Generally when updates are applied the version number will be appended, to like 8.01.
