Sound from one speaker after captured - What is wrong

Post by JamesRoyal »

I have UVS 9.0 and 10.0. I have tried capturing video on two different computers. I can hear sound coming out of both speakers while capturing but when I play the clips back the sound only comes out of one speaker.

Then I used Roxio Easy CD Creator 8.0 to capture the video and it worked perfectly. The sound comes out of both speakers beautifully after I have caputered it.

Since Roxio works fine and I have tried this on two PC's I am certain it is a problem or setting I have incorrect in UVS. I called UVS technical support and that was fruitless. Anyone have any ideas?

You give us nothing to go on, all we can do is take a wild guess.

Yeah, read the second sticky post and please provide the information it suggests that you include in any postings asking for help.

One more thing, posting the same problem several times does not get a meaningful reply quicker, if anything, it will help to confuse the issue.

Ok, i had a similiar problem and it was due to the disc template i had selected burning the DVD as a Dolby 5 soundtrack where the original file to be burned was only a 2 ch stereo file. The end result was the sound only came out of the RH speaker after being burned to a DVD.

Maybe worth a shot just checking this ?
