Hi Again
Reference my earlier query (Sorting Clips Wed. May24 1.40) Trevor's advice was successful resulting in some 200 clips in the Library in the correct sequence.
The instructions state drag and drop the clips on to the timeline or storyboard but whatever I highlight in the thumbnail presentation only the first clip is moved by drag and drop. I assume there must be a way of moving all the clips in one procedure but I cannot find out how to do this.

Moving Clips
Hi Ron
I had done just as you say by highlighting all clips but when I try to drag and drop on to the storyboard using the usual mouse method only one clip (the first one) is moved.

Are you sure you are not deselecting the rest of the video clips before dragging? I just went through dropping about 30 clips into timeline. I selected all clips in the library. In storyboard, and timeline modes. I then reversed the procedure and copied them to the library.

Hi Howard
Be steady with your mouse clicks.
Left click the first clip, a blue line shows its been selected.
Float the mouse over the scroll bar to the right until the curser changes to a cross.
Left click and drag the curser down.
Press Shift on the keyboard and hold down, left click the mouse on the last clip.
Let go
All clips selected, blue line around all clips.
Left click any clip and hold to drag all clips to timeline.
Hope this Helps

Moving Clips
Hi Trevor
Once again many thanks for the detailed step by step explanation on how to move ALL the clips from the library and it worked. With your support I am becoming an expert. I have found the extra options in version 9 ,compared with Vers 6 (basic), for editing and preparing the final DVD a big improvement.

Hi
Glad you got the hang of it. I find it a little harder using ‘Shift-Click’ to select files in video studio.
Using Shift Click to select files on your hard drive seems much easier, and I don’t know why.
Shift + Click selects your thumbnails adjacent to each other.
Ctrl + Click selects individual clips not adjacent.
