Please, I desperatly need Help!
PS4 hangs when trying to burn DVD slide show at the point it goes into the Motion app. It works fine up until that point, then displays error message regarding Motion.
I am a new user group member, but have followed all the suggestions all
users have suggested/recommended re: burning errors. ie: downloaded all the patches, updated macromedia flash app per Microsoft's suggestion,
removed PS4 through Control Panel, deleted PS4 directory/folder, removed all mention of PS4 in the registry, and reinstalled PS4 registered software. I have done all this twice. Still get error message.
I have contacted Ulead tech Dept. twice. First time 11 days ago on their tech form via internet. Received notice they received my tech help form and would reply ASAP. Guess that time has not come yet, as no reply. Sent a direct e-mail to tech Dept. and no reply.
I also have sent a PM to another member of this user group, but also no
reply. Please, if anyone has help in this matter I will sincerely appreciate
it! I am trying to produce 4 slide shows with all the bells and whistles of PS4, all except motion. I have set up for Pan/Zoom, Music, etc...
There was supposed to be a special patch that many users were seeking from one of this site's other users...several said it worked for them and
others said it did not work. If you are familiar with what I am talking about here, could you please send me the info on the patch.
Again, Please I do need your help...or will just have to switch over to Nero 6 Ultra or Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 or perhaps Photoshop Element 4 advanced picture show. However, I have used PS2,3 & 4 in the past with no problems. Will wait and see if anyone has an answer for me
or help of any kind.

One possible fix, the "DPS4_Comm Patch" is described in the sticky at the top of this board. It can downloaded from:
ftp://UL915HH6:OIQ41NEF@Private.ulead.c ... _Patch.exe
Another possible fix is the "LXDVDParser.dll" patch. Typically this resolves an issue where burning hangs at 71%. Since you've included your email address in your post I'll go ahead and send you a copy of the file.
To install, drill down to:
C > Program Files > Common Files > Ulead Systems > DVD
In the DVD directory, locate the current LXDVDParser.dll and rename it LXDVDParser_old.dll
Then copy the new LXDVDParser.dll to the DVD directory, relaunch PS4 and attempt to burn a DVD.
If this doesn't do the trick, try outputting your slideshow as a DVD folder (VOB files) by selecting the "Create DVD Folders" option on the "3 Burn" tab. You will also want to UNcheck the "Record To Disc" box. If you are successful, you can then burn your DVD with Nero, Roxio or any burning app that's compatible with VOB.
Let us how it turns out
