Descriptions on slideshow cutoff

Post by duckman »

When I play my slideshow (PictureShow 3) back on a DVD player, the descriptions on the images are off the screen, how do I resize the pictures (without resizing the pictures outside PictureShow 3) or keep the descriptions from cutting off? Thanks!

Text cutoff

Hello,

I have the same problem here. The text cut's off at the bottom of the pictures. I use random Pan/Scan and Zoom, and display filename, date and with some pictures a description.

I am going to try the new 5-1 patch, but I do not have many hopes.

the description is actually placed on the image, so if you have pan & zoom on it'll get cut off.

Yes, I have noticed, it is illogical to make such a function, it would be more logical to have the text put on a static position, and the image pan/zoom beneith it.

Hope they will implement such a function, I am now increasing the tolerance levels for better luck.

Don't relly on showing the image descriptions. Add new text on the picture slide by double clicking the slide. In PictureShow 3, this is called "Decorate". There, you can add text wherever on the picture so you won't have to worry about it getting cut off. And since TV and picture aspect ratios are a bit different, a little part of the edges will be clipped. This will be outlined there so you'll know where it is safe to add text. Moreover, text added in this fashion will be more visible because it is emphasized with shadows.
