48-bit plugins not accesible when 48-bit pics are loaded

I can't access my 48-bit enabled plugins (such as ace noise reduction plugin Neat Image) when I actually have 48-bit picture data in PhotoImpact. Rather annoying that one cannot do some of the more qualitatively important operations to photo data at the higher bitrate that makes for a technically decent photo in pro circles.

I'm really hoping this and some rather glaring bugs and memory and speed issues are solved SOON for PI so I don't have to learn Adobe programs better, or get Digital Light and Color's PICTURE WINDOW PRO 3.5. After $100+ into two recent updates I had hoped Ulead's program was able to do the job better so I could continue with a familiar interface, and enjoy what IS good about the program.
