Have you tried Print-to-tape, as well as Export?

You did not answer my question. Try putting your file on a timeline and use Print-to-Tape.

I have no idea, but have you tried changing the IEEE-1394 cable? This (esp the 4-p connectors) are often a source of contention. I have no problem with either of my IEEE-1394 devices, so I think it's likely to be a hardware problem. Have you contacted JVC?

You might want to download the Try Before You Buy version of Movie Factory 5, drivers in it seem to be more compatable than the rest of the Ulead products, even Video Studio 10+.
