I have purchased DVD Movie Factory as a present.
My main use is to edit recorded TV programs in MPEG format particularly to get rid of adverts. The edit is no problem, it is the burning to disc. Earlier when using the program a 40 minute completed edit took 2 hours 49 mins to burn, most of which time was used in the "converting video of the title" stage.
Is this normal? I hate to think what would happen if I had a full length feature film to burn.
Slow Burn to DVD
Your MPEG is getting re-coded. In that case it is normal. (It sometimes takes all day for people trying to convert DivX to DVD!)
Check the box that says Do not convert compliant MPEG files. If your MPEG is DVD compliant, and does not need to be re-compressed to fit, it should go much faster.
Of course, everything depends on your computer's speed too.
