avi is inserted with no sound

Hi experts,

When I try to insert a avi file into the video track, it always popup a warning says

and if i ignore the warning. The video would be inserted fine, but NO AUDIO.

AVIcodec tool indicates the avi file i'm having trouble with is --

Video: ... XVID Mpeg-4
Audio: ... AC3 DVM

and I do have the codec on my machine, and indeed I can play the avi file WITH AUDIO using MediaPlayer and even in the preview window of Media Studio's "Insert Video File" window. Any suggestion on how to fix the issue?

Thanks a lot for the reply! I made a conversion using the convertsion tool comes with Media Studio, but the generated MPG has NO sound... I'm really puzzled that if I can play that avi file with Windows Media Player, KMPlayer, RealPlayer, MediaPlayer Classic and PowerDVD in the same machine, how come MediaStudio and VideoStudio can't see the codec the other players are using.

i checked all the possible preference setting in MediaPlayer, but there doesn't seem to be a place to let me overload a codec library or something like that. sigh...
