Since the size is 4.7 GB does the minutes matter?
My DVD-R says 120 min but I was wondering As long as it's below the size of 4.7 GB does the minutes matter no matter how long it is?

Hi,
The 120 minutes is for "Average/Good Quality video".
It has become a standard. Average being about 4200kbs of bit_rates.
Everything is based on the "Total Average_Bit_Rate" of the video.
The higher the bit-rates the larger the file and lesser amount of time to play on the single-sided dvd. The higher the bit-rate the better the quality.
When you look at the DVD it says 4.7 gig.
In computer terms and when working with video programs that's 4.370 gig's.
So using ulead products make sure not to exceed 4.370 gig for a single layer dvd.
Double-layer dvd's hold 8.5 gig.
