SUBJECT: Convert Step Got Some Problems
I am trying out VideoStudio 10 and just created a small 10 minute AVI file which I captured from my analog video camera through a capture card.
When I tried to burn a DVD I receice the following message:
Convert Step Got Some Problems (257:00)
Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?)
What devices are involved and their mode of connection?
Project Settings ??
Output format (file & DVD)
System information (User Profile).
Thankyou in advance.

Your video properties are not what you need to burn a DVD. It would be better if you recaptured your video with DVD-compliant properties as explained in the top sticky post.
For example, use a frame size of 720x480 (324x240 is non standard and wouldn't display all the resolution that your camcorder has recorded). Since your source video is analog, the Field Order property should be set to "Upper Field First."
The video compression that you need for DVD is Mpeg2 - not YUV. If your capture device is up to it, you can capture in mpeg2 at a video bitrate of 8000kbps. Or you can capture in DV format (Type 1), edit that, then transcode to meg2. Either will work. Follow the procedure in the top sticky post for best results.
