I just burned a DVD using AVI files, and although I got perfectly clear video, I got no sound. Any suggestions?
What audio encoder might I need? It was a DivX file
No Sound?
What type of audio did you use?
What type of audio did you use in your project?
Which version of DVD WS are you using, and have you applied the available patches?
Can you hear audio when playing back on your computer using something like PowerDVD or WinDVD?

try dolby digtal
I just started running into this problem. It happes when I create a avi file and attach a mp3 audio file with it. DWS will read the mp3 file and not converted cuz its already a mpeg audio file. Some dvd players wont read mp3 audio. I have two dvd player software programs and a stand alone dvd player will that wont read a mpeg audio file. So in the audio settings when you burn use lmpc(??) setting or dobly digitial. My two dvd software programs still wont read the lmpc but my stand alone dvd player will. And everthing seems to work just perfectly when I set it to dolby digital. So try that one.
