Had a PAL.ts file and wanted to do a test.
Ran it through HDTVtoMPEG.
Dragged that fine into MF5.... authored a quick DVD and it played in my new HD DVD Player.
So.... does MF5 convert pal to NTSC?
Or is my HD DVD Player able to handle PAL DVD's?

You should look at the clip properties when you have one on the time line.
Right click on the clip and select properties.
Movie Factory 5 usually doesn't change the video unless you tell it to.
I don't know what the specs of you HD DVD player are but you might want check in the users manual on the specification page to see what it will play.
