Gif Animator 5 problem - resizing/positioning many objects

Post by The Ben »

Hello, just got the program yesterday and I have a problem with it.

I am trying to make a signature with a video in it, the problem being is that I can only seem to place the video in the correct place (with a resize aswell) one frame at a time.

I add the video, and seen how it comes to the object list as the amount of frames there are, there are 369 different versions of it.

Is the way to do it, to select all the files in the object list, syncronise them and then to go into the frame timeline select all and move?

I started to get confused as I could only resize one object and one frame at a time.

Please can you lend a hand, please ut it simply because I'm new to the program.

A variation on your question has been posted here somewhere previously...

Your best bet is to open the video by itself in GIF Animator. You can resize the entire thing at once by clicking "Edit, Resize..."

You may want to take this opportunity to remove as many frames as possible - every second frame, or perhaps every second and third. This will help cut down on file size. You may have to tweak the Frame Delay to compensate.

Save the resized file as a GIF, then add that GIF to the signature you are working on.

Start with your base image. Select Frame 1, add the image. Make sure that "Insert in current frame" and "Distribute to individual frames..." are selected at the bottom of the Add Image dialog box.

The Object Manager should have all the objects of the new animation selected. Select the Pick Tool. Make sure "Move active object(s) only" is checked in the Attribute Toolbar.

Now position the video objects where you want them. Then use the "Synchronize Objects" button. Image

Then do this, but leave whatever frame you have showing alone. The rest of the settings should be left as shown:
